On tap in Hiroshima at Raku. Pours a clear golden color with a medium white head. A big toast and lemon nose. Super clear, fresh, toast, some straw, a bit of citrus. Very smooth on a hot day.

Bottle from Yamaoka. Very soft, biscuity malt nose. Like morning biscuits. Impressive. Just a touch of grassy, lemony hop. Clear, pale golden with a low, thick head. Soft malt flavor, slightly more lemony, grainy, bready. Crisp, light body, yet quite silky. Nice bitterness in the finish. Good start, though I get just a touch of DMS as well.

Nagisa’s Heaven Helles 5% Served in a Lager glass, it pours a very light straw gold with a fluffy head of white foam which dissipates to leave some soapy lacing behind. Bready sweet pilsner malts with a light floral hoppiness. Medium bodied with a grainy, bready maltiness and herbacious noble hop character. It’s a crisp and clean helles.
