Old rating from 28-06-16 - Picked up in Cassell, Northern France on route to Belgium last summer. A 330ml bottle which pours a dark brown colour with a beige head. Aromas of coffee, chocolate & sweet malt. Tastes again of coffee, chocolate and sweet malt as well as earthy nuts, char, black pepper, bread, vanilla, bayleaf and berries. Medium body & carbonation. Aftertaste is a sweet malty medium bitter finish

Bottle 0,33ltr: Dark brown beer thats very carbonated, its gushes out of the bottle, beige head and very tastfull with the spices.

Tap at Moeder Original. Pours black with light brownis head. Aroma is roast and fruits. Flavor is sweet and bitter, roast, fruits, malt. Finish has some hops and roasty bitterness. Overall: good.

F: big, tanned, good retention. C: black, opaque. A: dark malts, chocolate, cocoa, bit roasted tones, dark fruits, caramel, dark bread crust. T: dark malts, light roasted tones, chocolate, caramel, bit nutty, medium body and carbonation, nice balanced with light peppery notes, not quite for the style yet enjoyable beer, 33cl bottle from the brewery.

Zwart bier met mooie bruine schuimkraag. Smaak is licht zoet en licht bitter met iets van chocolade en koffie. Als geheel ietwat te waterig om echt goed te zijn.
