Handcrafted by our master brewers, this delightfully hoppy brew resurrects its deep heritage and storied past to embody an IPA worthy of the original Ballantine name. For well over a century the interlocking Borromeran Rings showcased on our label have come to signify Purity, Body, & Flavor, just like the delicious Ballantine IPA inside. We hope you enjoy it.

Pours dark, cloudy amber with particulate matter and a thick white head. Aroma of sweet malt. Tastes like malt with a very slight tinge of hops. Palate includes resin, malt, citrus, yeast and a sweetness that drowns out the hops that are apparent as an aftertaste. Interesting take on an IPA

Deep Golden, not much head. Earthy, woody and somewhat alcoholic aroma. Earthy, quite chewy, woody accent. Moderate bitterness. Crystal sweetness. Clean, well-made old school IPA. Glad they brought it back.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy golden-copper color with a large foamy orange-white head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was malty and sweet with a fruity hop note. The flavor was bitter, fruity, piney and had touches of spruce and flroall hops and a bit of bread underneath. Long pine and spruce finish. Medium body. Better than I expected.
