Can from Seijo Ishi in Shinjuku. Fruity aromas with peach and apricot standing out. Bready malts. Sweet on the palate with a little bit of tartness. Finish is slightly metallic and tangy. Not as good as the blue can. --- Beer merged from original tick of Craft Label Kankitsu Kaoru Pale Ale (柑橘香るペールエール) on 18 Mar 2016 at 19:09 - Score: 5. Original review text: Just ok.....too fruity for me....some pepper on the finish. Tart grain.....ehhh. Blue was better.

Sapporo Craft Label Pale Ale 5.5% Also 288¥ from the Bincan Fest. It pours a copper-gold with a light beige foamy head. Surprisingly longer lasting than the wheat beer. Graham, grain dust and a fruity/floral mild hoppiness. Sweet sugary malts, bitter astringency and a floral hop bite. For a major its not bad for a craft pale ale it’s pretty weak. Give me a Captain Crow instead...

Can from the brewery, mail order. Nose is fruity, orange, peach, esters, caramel. Not such huge citrus, more stone fruits. A bit too estery. Color is orange-amber, clear, with a low head. Flavor is somewhat rich, sweet malt, caramel, lots of over-ripe peaches and apricots, a bit of orange. A touch of cardboard. Quite drinkable and unique, although I am not sure it was planned. Ok. bitter, peppery finish.
