Draft at Spring Valley Brewing, Kyoto. Clear golden with a white head. Aroma of grain, light hops, floral notes and light malt. Flavour is light sweet and bitter. Light bodied with light carbonation.

Worst of the bunch.Tasting Set at Spring Valley Kyoto, brewed in Shiga. Grainy sweet aroma, taste is the same on a medium full body. Tastes like a decent macro-lager but not a crisp dry Pilsner.

Nice yellow golden pour, not very foamy. Aroma has slight grain character, bit of hay. Taste is full on malty, bready and grainy, a bit of crisp bitterness there as well, works wonders with official cucumber pairing. Saaz hops seem to work with cucumber quite nicely. Finish is short. Well, I would say this one is quite OK pilsner, nothing special but decent.

Tap at the Daikanyama brew pub. Nicely fruity Saaz nose, oranges, not much malt detected. Medium golden color. Sweet and fruity, nice hop, but not lagered enough. Sweet, thin, oily. The malt character is more pale lager than pilsner.
