Sample courtesy of Grumbo. Cheers! Aroma is quite bland, almost rubbery with hints of apples. Very smooth but the apples is more of an aftertaste. Not a lot to this.

3/8/2021. Bottle sample courtesy of danlo, cheers Ed! Pours clear bright gold with a small bubbly white head. Aroma of sweetened apple juice, slight sugary funky notes, old sweaty socks. Medium plus sweetness and light bitterness. Moderate body, oily watery texture, average carbonation. Not keen.

290ml bottle from Japan Centre. Pale golden colour, white foam head that dissipates to a thin rim and aroma of apple, sulphury hint. Taste is sweet, apple, green apple, sugary with sulphury notes, papery, citric. Medium bodied, light carbonation, dry finish with some lingering sugary sweetness. Not the best

Tap. Apples, light tartness. Something not quite there though. Feels a bit thin and fades quickly. Would rather have this than some macro lagers, but that's not exactly a great compliment. Nothing so wrong with it, but not so much right about it.

Hell, like a normal cider. Apparently it's much easier to fuck up a beer than a cider. Perhaps Kirin should stick to ciders?

Bottle from Family Mart. Pours a crystal clear honey cold with a finger of carbonation that dissipates quickly. Light spice and tart apple nose with a bit of light floral notes. Dry and actually much more acidic than I had expected with a touch of sweetness underneath. Some nice light saison like notes from the yeast I assume as it warms. Dry finish. Maybe a bit too thin, but overall pretty awesome for what it is and better than anything Kirin has done in it’s crafty series. On tap at the Blarney Stone, Osaka. Shared by Nie it was served in it’s own custom glassware and oddly enough on the rocks! It poured a clear gold with a pple and a somewhat acidic taste. Decent enough with a really dry finish.

Draught at Jostar in Niigata. Apple nose, minerals, dry, a bit tart. Deep golden color with lace. Light to medium sweet, some honey and ripe apples, lemon drop candy. A bit too fake and candyish. Finishes dry though. Very boring, and hard to finish a whole glass.
