deep autumn color. Sweet with tons Marron. Nice stuff. Never knew that they could make good beer.

A fall seasonal from Konishi made with chestnuts, who knew? A very nice golden copper with a wonderful nutty caramel toffee candy aroma. Not at all an off-flavor it smells like freshly baked caramel. Light bodied with a slightly sharp carbonation. The flavor is a bit rough(mild cardboard) but mostly yummy nutty caramel. A bit more full bodied and you’d have a real winner. Closest comparison - Southern Tier’s sweet caramel dessert beer -Creme Brule.

Draught at Craft Beer Live 2014. Great nose of chestnuts. Not fresh or fermented, though, more like Marron Glace. Notes of maple syrup. Pretty orange-amber color with lace. Sweet chestnut or marron glace flavor, light tartness. Interesting, especially as a dessert beer, but really too much to drink a lot of. Too sweet and syrupy. I would either take it up to 8% and make it more like a Belgian strong, or get it a lot drier.
