Tap at Brew Pub StarBoard. Lemony. Biscuity malt. Little spikiniess. Alright.

Smeg at Starboard - Kobe. Pours clear yellow with a small white foam head. Soft grassy hops in the nose, pale grains, biscuits. Light sweet flavour with steadying grassy bitterness, some grain husk, stare, lemon rind. Light bodied with average carbonation. Finishes with further grassy hops, pale grain, citrus peel. Not bad.

Tap at CBM Koenji. Clear pale gold with nice soapy white head. Aromas of grain, light lemon zest and some pepper. Nice bitterness but kind of forgettable. --- Beer merged from original tick of Ikigari Draft on 06 Aug 2015 at 19:18 - Score: 6

Draught at Craft Beer Live 2014. Bright golden color. Nose of lemon, malts, light DMS. Lemony flavor, nice bitterness, a bit of DMS kind of takes the fun out, though.

On tap as part of a tasting set at Rokko Beer Dinner, 1500 yen for 8 small glasses. Both this and the regular pilsner were ridiculously pale gold, too pale for my taste. It had a slightly thicker & creamier head of foam than the regular pils, the aroma was a clean hoppy bitterness with the taste being hoppy with slight pine but fairly clean bitterness. I liked this better than the normal pils but my friend felt it was too hoppy.
