Tap at Ichi-ya. An opaque gold with quite a thick dense head of foam. It has a subdued earthy aroma. Medium bodied with a raspy carbonation. The taste is earthy hops and somewhat sweet malts. This is ok but fairly rough around the edges. So much so that I am thinking after two rough tasting brews in a row perhaps they are overdue for cleaning their lines...

Draught at the 2013 Kyoto Craft Beer Festa. Bright deep golden color with lace. Grassy, lightly funky Nelson nose, bread, citrus zest. Clean, dry flavor with even more Nelson in the tste. Nice sparkling, prickly carbonation. Rather champagne like. Good.
