13th February 2016
Hazy gold - amber beer, good bubbly cream colour head. Palate is light, dry and mildly crisp. Smooth malts, touches of sweet cream and tangy caramel. Floral bitterness that is getting toward harsh. A little orange peel, well buried. Light semi dry finish. Floral bitter linger. A fairly harsh IPA, like an Imperial Bitter.

12 fl oz bottle from Bier Huis. Orange amber colour, white foam head leaving some lacing and tropical fruit & citrus aroma. Taste is malt caramel, some biscuit, with tangy citrus grapefruit and grassy, earthy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry lingering grassy bitter finish. Quite OK.

355ml bottle. Cloudy, orangey, deep golden colour with small to average, thick, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Citrusy and minimally piney, hoppy aroma, notes of orange, tangerine, grapefruit, caramel malty background. Taste is tart-ish bitter hoppy, grassy, strawym slightly mineral and minimally medicinal, biscuity, pale malty background. Unconvincing.

Bottle from Deeside Drinks Emporium. Hazy amber body with a thin white head. Light fizz. Faint lacing. Aroma of marmalade and orange peel. Flavour of grapefruit and earth. Thin to medium body with a watery, slightly oily texture. Not bad, a bit musty.

From a 22 oz bottle shared at home. Pours a clear gold with a massive off white head. Fruity nose. Flavors of citrus and resin. Light bitter finish.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a hazy Amber color. Massive rocky beige head. Spicy toasted malt nose has notes of cinnamon and caramel. Slightly tart bready toasted malt flavor. Some spicy bitterness upfront. Seems unbalanced and in disarray. Not an atypical IPA.

On tap at the Bitter Tasting Room, pours a cloudy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma reveals notes herbal hops, some skunky notes, and grass. Flavour is a bit muffled, with notes of herbal, grassy notes, and light sweet malt. Pretty bland IPA with some slight off-notes. Not a very good IPA.
