On tap at Tadg’s at KyotoLefty’s book launch event. A decent ale, kind of middle of the road but pretty good. Reddish orange color with a decent head & aroma. Nice enough.

rich chocolately, moderately sweet, malty. Notes of wood and dark fruit. Well made, but nothing that stands out

Dark aber color, light for a Dubbel. Wonderful nose, rich and chuwy, with lots of caramel, chocolate, and some dried fruit. Flavor does not live up, though, very sweet, with caramel but no rich chuwiness. Very light, almost thin body. Decent dubbel, but the nose brought on thoughts of greatness, which somehow did not come.
