11/XI/16 - 75cl bottle from Geers (Oostakker) @ home - BB: VII/2018 (2016-1289)

Note: missed out on this one last year, but heard so much good things about it. Maybe the expectations were too high, but I wasn't really crazy about this one. Clear orange beer, creamy yellowish head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: malty, yeast, some caramel, fruity touch. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: lots of ripe banana, fruity, bit sweet, very bitter, spicy. Aftertaste: yeast, some citrus, bit chemical, banana, malty, caramel, some citrus. Not as aromatic and hoppy as I had hoped for.

On tap at Moeder Lambic Fontainas. Cloudy amber colour lasting beige head. Malty. Cereal. Its ok but a little too malty. Some resdual sugar maybe. Hoppy bitter finish. Of the beers today its the least impressive. Ok.
