Bottled 500ml (Alko web)
Deep clear nut brown color, small off-white beige head. Nutty with toffee and madeira in the nose, some signs of age. Medium-bodied, mellow. Toffee, nutty maltyness, finish has decent spicey hops. Balanced. One of the better Vintages lately and probably after 1,5 years at its best.

2016 catch up - Malt, bitter hops and it tasted very alcoholic. I think it needs to be left for a while to soften. Not one that I particularly enjoyed, but I will stick the other bottle at the back of the cupboard for a couple of years and hope for the best. Bottle December 2017 - Now beautifully matured with a gloriously smooth mouthfeel and and perfect balance of malt, hops and alcohol. A very English beer, with perhaps a faint nod towards Belgium.

BOTTLE 50 CL. Clear copper, beige head. The aroma is malty, notes of fruity lollipop. The taste is still malty, fruity, already slightly jammy and oxidized. Subtle spicy warming alcohol and hop bitterness. Yeah, at only one year old it’s already getting some of that aged Vintage feel.

Bottle from Drinkshop. Very carefuly balanced malty sweetness and hoppy bitterness so that none of them has the upper hand. Even light light sourness, which just about adds to the complexity. Dried fruits are present and so are figues, biscuity caramelly maltiness. The hops support the malt throughout, while keeping mostly out of the spotlight. Relatively complex grassy earthy herbal hops character. Tasty beer, grows on me. Quite a good one.

This beer may have suffered in its travels. It tastes a little bitter, maybe oxidized. I also think the alcohol comes through quite intensely. Bottle from Lb.

Shared at the December THT at deanso’s. Clear amber pour with a thin off-white head. Notes of cognac, dried fruit, caramel, metallic bitterness. Medium body, soft carbonation, bitter-sweet finish. A bit too fresh.
