Honey coloured body with a thinnish, single to perhaps two centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of hay, yeast, alcohol, malt and a heavy dose of cereal noticeable towards the end. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong nutty and malty flavours dominate with a good deal of residual sweetness and some floral and herbal notes that show through with the alcohol by far the strongest, but a slight less full-bodied and rich bite at the very end. Aftertaste shows the grainy and sweet notes first and foremost with some nutty and biscuity bites and the slightest bit of hops and bitterness noticeable at the very end, but this is quite deep and pungent overall. Overall, a strong and deep beer that shows a lot of characteristics, but has a lot of alcohol and punch, yet is slightly easier to drink than it's 10% cousin, sampled just before this one by me. I sampled this 50 cL can purchased from Super U, Are, in PaoPao, Mo'orea, French Polynesia on 27-July-2019 for XPF370 while taking care of my three kids while walking back to my hotel in the Tropical Winter of French Polynesia.
