ROUNDED & FRUITY. Grimbergen Rouge, flavoured with red fruits, subtly combines the character of an abbey beer with the sweetness and notes of strawberry, cranberry and elderberry. Its purple colour with intense reflections and its slightly pink foam indicates a unique flavour.

Canned, 0.50l. Clear ruby color with thick frothy pinkish head and tiny lively bubbles. Aroma of malt, strawberries, raspberries, grapes and chewing gum. Taste starts sweet malty, then followed fruity and wine-a-like alcohol note. Mouthfeel is spicy and crisp, while aftertaste is very mildly bitter. Medium body, sticky texture and fizzy carbonation in palate. For sure not more than average fruit beer, I would say that it gets some qualities when becomes a bit warmer...

Red with a pink head - strong berry aroma - taste is oslo a lot of berries, especially strawberries/rasberries - lasting berry finish with some sweetness - this was actually good and refreshing under a hot sun

12/X/2012 - 33cl bottle @ Cybu's place - BB: n/a (2012-1135) Thanks to Bene for sharing the beer!

Clear red to rust red beer, small aery off-white to pink head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: lots of red fruit candy, sugary syrup, artificial red forest fruit candy. MF: soft carbon, light to medium body. Taste: very sweet and sugary, little fruity, strawberries, cherries. Aftertaste: more of the same rubbish with a slight lemony hint. Meh.

Most definitely not to my taste. Big raspberry nose, with raspberry dominating everything else.

On tap at Le Carolus, Paris. Dark ruby/red coloured, medium sized pinkish head, syrupy raspberry nose. Raspberry cherry taste with moderate strong presence of alcohol. Refreshing but still quite industrial signature. Still (much) better than 3 Brasseurs Cherry.

Can. A red beer with a pinkish head. The aroma has notes of raspberries, malt, and wheat. The flavor is sweet with notes of rasberries, malt, hay, and a bit of wheat, leading to a dry finish.
