Bottle shared at Chris and Ruth’s pre GBBF shindig; dark brown pour with a bubbly light tan head, aroma has assertive pine and dark chocolate, taste is much the same.

Sampled @ ChrisO Pre-GBBF Shindig. Opaque red brown color, smalll to average sized beige head. Smell and taste malts, hops, caramel, light roast, hop bitter. Quite decent actually. Medium body and carbonation.

Bottle at Chris and Ruth’s pre-GBBF Shindig, 2016 (Sunday sesh.). Black pour with a fluffy beige head. Licorice toffee, dark fruit and light smoke aroma. Coffee, dark fruit, dark chocolate and demerara sugar flavour. Roasty, toasty finish. Nice.

Pre-gbbf-shinding. Leicht trübes orange braunes Bier mit einer geringen beigen Schaumkrone. Geruch röstmalzig, nussig, hopfig bitter. Geschmack nussig malzig, karamellig, mild röstmalzig, sehr hopfig bitter.

Draft @ Taphouse, Copenhagen. Pours a dark amber color with a small off-white head. Has a slightly roasted malty hoppy citrus aroma. Roasted malty caramel hoppy citrus flavor. Has a roasted malty caramel hoppy citrus finish.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a dark brown with an orange hue and a smallish, light brown head. The nose has a lot of licorice and some herbal, medicinal notes more than crispy hops. Rich and solid body, sweet licorice accents and againt these medicinal notes that are not unpleasant, but persinally I would’ve preferred more crisp, straight aroma hops. But the herbal notes seem to often appear in the interaction between US hops and dark malts. Not an overly bitter finish. 060716

Bottle 500ml. @ home. [ As Humleland Fuldmånevanvid ].Clear dark dark brown black color with a large, frothy - creamy, good lacing, fully diminishing, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, light hoppy, citrus, grapefruit, wood, light pine. Initial flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter, finish flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long long duration, roasted, pine, hoppy, hop and malt bitter, finish flavor has also licorice. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20160324]

From tap. Pours dark brown, hazy, with a small tan head. Aroma is sweet caramelish and slight roasted breadish. Bitter, light liqourice note, caramelish sweet and roasted. Mild fruity. Bitter and sweet caramelish malty finish.
