Bottle from the introductory tameshi set on rakuten. Another solidly made beer from Fujizakura. Clear gold, thin head, light body with a grassy earthy flavor from the hops/malts & a crisp mildly bitter finish. A solid pils but it’s not my favorite style. Like all of their core line very well executed. If you want a light beer in Japan this is much better than the macrobrews. Rated from memory, I’ll grab another soon & re-rate it.

Draught at the brewpub. Cloudy straw colour, rich head. Grassy nose. Dry and soft with light body. More soft and edgeless than crisp, so in combnation with low hop rate it apears more as a dry helles. Finishes with fairly low bitterness.

Hazy golden with a white head. Crisp hop aroma and light malts. Light grassy hops, fruits, light citrus, and malts in the back of this beer. Refreshing and easy to drink. Tasty.

Sparkling, clear, pilsener. Fragrant with hops and decent malt character as well. Some fruit, citrus. Good balance and tons of hops from nose to finish. Probably the best pilsener in Japan. Easy to drink and you never tire of it.

After 11 years, I decided to rerate this beer, as it has gone from a 2.1 flop to a masterpiece. Dry hoppy, grassy, lots of cereal notes, superbly well balanced. The receipe was tweaked sometime in 2015 (though it was markedly much better for the past few years) to become world class. Top notch stuff all the way.
