Can. Roasty, bit sweet, dark and alright. Not so excited as everyone else about this, but nice enough.

Dark with a thin medium beige head. Chocolate and molasses, lightly roasted malts, a faint nutty background. Medium thin body. I rather enjoyed it. Went great with tonight’s pulled pork.

Had this months ago. Almost dark, thin brown head. Aroma is soft and full of roast, slightly sour. Taste is strong, roasty, has coffee and chocolate. Cocoa. Easygoing acidity. Nicely drinkable and quite enjoyable.

Keg at the taproom, 07/11/14. Dark mahogany brown with a decent tan covering. Nose is earthy roast, cocoa poweder, toffee, nutty strokes. Taste comprises chocolate, sweeter tunes being played out, dark toffee, light roast, mellow vanilla. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent enough porter, not much complexity but an easy drinker and drinks below ABV.

This is a pitch black beer with a thick rust colored head and a rich meaty aroma of chocolate and coffee. It is medium to light bodied while the flavor is a bit intense - bitter dark chocolate, 70% cacao, some umami savoriness and roasted coffee in the finish. It is a porter that won’t let you down.

This brew pours a dark brown color with a medium thin tan head that dissipates quickly. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of vinegar and roasted malt. Medium body with flavors of soy sauce, tart fruit and malt. Maybe a bit of hops in the background but they are masked. The finish is overripe fruit and vinegar. If this were in a bottle I would wonder if it was lightstruck or otherwise compromised, but being a can it is hard to tell what the explanation is for it tasting like it does.
