Bottle @ Steve_0 during my 10k tick fest. Pours a deep brown appearance with a brown head. Dark chocolate, pine, mint, funk in the nose. Medium light body. Light citrus, lemon, pine, spruce tips, dark chocolate, and some funk. This is pretty interesting but doesn’t blow my mind.

375mL bottle, sent from my sugar daddy, pours black with a small tan head. Nose brings out notes of leather, tart dark fruits, farmhouse notes and toasted malt. Flavour is complex, with notes of leather, light tartness from dark fruits, oak and subtle farmhouse notes. Not as good a treatment as the CD#4 dark saison, but this isn't anything less than stellar either. Quite complex, with the oak accentuating the base beer Edith very nicely. Very enjoyable stuff.

Tasting at Jack’s RAH Annexe! Thanks again to Leighton for hauling these back. Almost opaque dark brown beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is dry and crisp. Tangy dark fruits turning sourish. Something that tastes like bourbon, mellow. Light vanilla oak. Light dry finish. Tasty number.

Bottle shared in London - from the brewery. Pours clear, deep brown with a frothy tan head. The nose has worn-in leather, dried fruits, some wet wood, cherry, sweat. Light-medium sweet, somewhat salty, with a bit of toasted wood, more old leather, background cocoa, dried currants and cherries. Light bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Clean and tart on the finish, more old dried fruits, worn leather, a bit more mild cocoa, earth. Absolutely stunning. The balance is superb, as is the depth. Stunning.
