Draught, Liverpool Craft Beer Expo, Camp & Furnace. Reddish amber looks with a thin off white head. Nose had notes of spice, yeast and fruits. Sweet flavour with some, bread, spice, yeast , booze and dark fruit present. Ok, but a bit pedestrian and nothing that will linger too long in the memory.

Tap. York Tap. Hazy, orangey amber. Film of white head. Bready malts. Sweet, sugary fruits. Light toffee. Fig Roll biscuits. Some Belgianesque esters. Taste is sugary sweet. Dry at the end. Fairly full bodied (or is it just really sweet?). Finishes very dry. It’s very sweet, then very dry, with not much in between.

Keg at the brewery, 10/05/14. Reddish amber with a moderate off white covering. Nose is caramel, red berry fruits, yeast esters, bread dough, light spice. Taste comprises berry fruit, prune juice, light spice, yeast, caramel, fruit loaf. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, semi drying close where the 7% alcohol makes its presence known but in a restrained manner. Decent Belgian, doesn’t get too sweet or sticky.
