From tap at Uiltje Bar, Haarlem. Aroma consists of loads of cinnamon and maple syrup, apple pie, dark malt, strong spicy notes, grandma’s cake right out of the oven. Flavour is above medium sweet and light bitter. Body is above medium. I’m not the biggest fan of cinnamon in beer, but this curious and unique brew simply worked for me. Love the maple syrup cake part of the aroma.

Bottle. Deep dark brown color. Malt, roast, caramel and cinnamon in the aroma. Malty sweet flavor with heaps of cinnamon, licorice and maple syrup. Caramel. Buisman. Drinkable, in spite of the overload of spices..

Keg at ushers. Pours black, nose is maple syrup, vanilla, caramel, blackcurrant, taste is sweet, sugary, maple syrup, roasted, spices in the finish.

(Draught at Cause Beer Loves Food, Amsterdam, 24 Feb 2018) Black colour with foamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with coffee, cacao, spices, cinnamon and burnt sugar. Malty, roasted taste with notes of chocolate, sweet strong coffee, cinnamon, maple syrup, honey and a balanced roasty bitterness. Full body, with a certain sweetness. Really tasty and well balanced with lots of well integrated flavours. Very nice.

Draught @ Sori Taproom, Helsinki. Pours pitch black with a foamy head. Aroma of roasty malts, coffee, cinnamon, maple syrup and vanilla. Taste is sweet, spicy and roasty with some maple syrup, vanilla, cinnamon and syrup. Finish is sweet, slightly syrupy and roasty with some vanilla, coffee and cinnamon. Heavy and sweetish, slightly unbalanced.

Tap @ Sori Taproom. Poured near black with a thin brown head. Chocolate cake, nutty notes, cinnamon. Lovely aroma. Flavor has cinnamon, nuts, chocolate, malts. Lovely flavors, cinnamon, chocolate, vanilla. Awesome stuff.

Draft - Sticky maple and Cinnamon. Jet black with a small beige head. Sticky maple and cinnamon, and odd combination of flavours and it leads to an odd long finish.

Tap at Arendsnest. Served really cold. Black with cream head. Roasted chocolate malts, coffee creamer, oatmeal, maple syrup, cinnamon and faint hazelnut. Big sweet and light bitter. Over medium body, soft carbonation. Sticky sugary and soft creamy feel.

Sample at ACBF 2017. Not normally a fan of this sort of thing, but the cinnamon and maple is subtle and nicely integrated. Comes together nicely.
