Building upon a Scottish "Wee Heavy", this unique beer was developed to provide a strong caramel malt flavour with enough salt to give it a bit of a bite. Stronger in alcohol, this beer starts off sweet but remains fairly light to drink.

Draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver
Dark amber color with red hue; small creamy head. Some aroma of caramel and fudge. Good body structure, round mouthfeel, good flavor of dark caramel some fudge, light saltiness.
Salted butter caramel is a specialty of Brittany; indeed this beer reminds a bit of that caramel. Pleasant.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a beautiful orangey amber with a small beige head. Aroma of big syrupy caramel malts and not much else - very pleasant nose though. Flavour of salted caramel--very true to the name--, with corn syrup and caramel malts. ABV is well-hidden, and the flavour profile is well-constructed. Solid stuff.
