Tap at Yona Yona Beer Kitchen. Belgian feel, tripel like but bit too thin maybe. Orange, sweetness. Aroma is better than taste which dies quickly.

frothy white head. Deep golden color. big bready yeasty malt, semisweet nose. Medium full body, definitely a duvel wannabe, but well balanced and well made for what it is.

Nice clear golden, not much foam. Aroma has a bit of booze but also sweet fruits, banana and strawberries. Overripe strawberries even. Tastes yeasty, Belgian character is strong. Some bitterness on the tongue and warm booze in the background. Not a bad beer but not spectacular either, just decent I guess.

Can from Shinshu Osake Mura. Pours a crystal clear gold with a finger of foam that dissipates quickly. Big saison yeast, estery aromas with some light pear, banana, clove and white pepper. Hides the alcohol pretty well. Body is a bit too thin though, and kind of one-dimensional on the palate. Still enjoyable and nothing off about it. --- Beer merged from original tick of Karuizawa Kogen Seasonal 2016: Belgian Golden Ale (軽井沢高原ビール シーズナル2016) on 18 Oct 2016 at 18:50 - Score: 7. Original review text: Nice Belgian yeast nose with some lemon and pepper. Sweet on the palate with some spice. A bit boozy but OK.
