Tap at Borefts’14: Very dark brown colored brew with nicely bitter taste. With hints of chocolate, peat, vanilla and dark fruits. Quite wonderful beer again from Örebro.

Tap @ Borefts 2014. Chocolate, roast and peat in the complex aroma. Hardly a sign of the cassis. Lots of peat, roast, cassis and honey in the flavor. The cassis is the most dominant next to the peat. Oak and vanilla. The balance is a mess, but the beer is great.

26.09.2014, tap sample @ Borefts:
Nice brown creamy longlasting head. Aroma is dry slightly boozy, peat, oak, whisky, grass, sour coffee, burnt caramel, leather. Taste is sour-ish dry, ashes, sour berries, sour coffee, oak, whisky, peat, leather, grass, paper. Longlasting bitterness, sour-ish burnt mouthfeel. Fair enough, but not really my cup of tea...

Borefts VI. Keg. Opaque black beer with an unusual peach tinted tan head. Palate is airy and a little dry. LIttle fine carbonation. Smoky Laphraoig and a little TCP. Nice tangy blackcurrant cuts through the fug. Airy finish. Nice enough.

Black with dark coffee head. Aroma is smokey with some blackcurrant in the background. Flavour has intense peaty smokiness. It’s also sweet and slightly sour. Finish is smokey meat. Sweet blackcurrant lingers on the lips.

[9/26/14] Draught sample at Borefts Beer Festival 2014 in Bodegraven. Black with a brown head. Aroma of peated whiskey, some chocolate and some berries. Sweetish-sourish flavor, peaty, with vanilla, whiskey and some berries. Full-bodied. Very good.

Tap @ De Molen Beerfestival 2014. Pours black with a creamy head. Berries and massive peat. Leather and spices. Very crude and hardly any of the fabolous base beer to notice. How to ruin a perfect beer!

Keg at Borefts 6, day 1, 26/09/14. Black with a good sized dirty tan covering with reddish hues. Nose is TCP, medicinal note, red berries fighting through, light roast, chocolate. Taste comprises dark malt, spice, bitter chocolate, TCP, red berry undertones. Medium + body, fine carbonation, lightly warming booze in a medicinal infused close. Decent enough peated impy.
