750ml corked and caged bottle. Chunky black-brown body. Not much of a lasting head, but this bottle was from 2014 and it is 2020 now, so it could have mellowed out some presumably. Big, but remarkably balanced, easy drinking in a way. Smooth chocolate tones, some fruity undercurrents from the Belgian yeast. Great mouthfeel, really seems well attenuated, as clean as can be for a dark 11% beer. Good.

Terrific stuff. The coffee flavor was delightful. As long as it’s drunk in small amounts, like coffee. It can easily go from super enjoyable to getting drained down the sink. One small can of this was great, but at the end I was glad it was finishing

19/7/2020. Bottle from a shop in Kings Avenue Mall. Paphos, Cyprus. Pours dark brown with a small creamy off-white to beige head. Aroma is super milky chocolate, chocolate ice cream, coffee, caramel, malt, vanilla, nut and dried fruits. Quite heavy milk chocolate sweetness, light roasty bitterness. Medium body, soft carbonation and smooth texture. Good beer to end the day with.

330ml bottle. Darkest brown colour with ruby shimmer and average, thick, creamy, moderately to mostly lasting, moderately lacing, off-white to beige head. Sweet-ish, chocolately aroma, notes of milk chocolate, chocolate ice cream, stracciatella, chocolate-infused white coffee, a touch of vanilla, mocha, nougat, hazelnut. Taste is dry, roasty dark malty, sweet-ish chocolately, notes of milk chocolate, chocolate ice cream, chocolate-infused white coffee, stracciatella, a touch of vanilla, mocha, nougat, grassy hoppy overtones. Rather thin texture, slightly cloying palate, fine but efficacious carbonation. Tremendously chocolately flavours, not really artificial in character but neither malt-generated; just some grassy hop flavours and the overall well hidden alcohol bring the fact to mind that this is a beer - not a chocolate sauce nor molten ice cream instead. Meets Imperial Pastry Stouts starting from an unexpected direction.

Bottle served in its chalice at Guxto, Alcalá de Henares. A dark tan, short-lived head atop a very dark shade of brown, almost black, pour. Aroma is very intense espresso, dark chocolate and hazelnut. In the background you do spot caramel and some estery scents. Sweetish, full-bodied yet quite crisp, low on bitterness. Very long-lasting. Pair it with your coffee for a fine meal-finisher.
