Bottle at Klooster, Netherlands, Thursday 8th October 2015. Tasting like a hoppier version of Orval, this is fruity and with and a nice tang bitter but not massively so. Chatted with the bartender here and gave him a little of this to try we (i.e. - us and bartender) both felt it shouldn’t be like this, however it was really interesting, me and Loz loved it, for those looking out for this it’s batch 317 this isn’t meant to be like this but it works, it’s a sort of ramped up Orval. Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; hazy deep copper pour with a thin soapy light tan head, aroma has toffee, and some bold citrus hop, taste sweet caramel, a hint of sweet apple juice, some mango and grapefruit, tinned pineapple sweetness, booze is present but not hot, light carbs.

33cl bottle, T.H.T 02.03.2017. Dark amber, thick off white head. Caramel malty, dark fruity, herbal hoppy aroma. Flavor has sweetness, caramel, toffee, hops, dark fruits. Full bodied, creamy. Alcohol nicely hidden.

0,33 l bottle from Gall & Gall Zutphen, NL, best before 2/3/2017. Clear, reddish amber with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, tan to white head. Intense, fruity-resiny aroma of passion fruit, mango, honey and pine. Sweetish, fruity-resiny taste of passion fruit, mango, honey and pine, followed by a fairly lasting, medium bitter (92 IBU?!) finish with hints of grapefruit. Medium to full body, creamy to oily texture, soft carbonation. Perfectly balanced and very harmonic with fresh, exotic flavours. No hints of alcohol and absolutely not as bitter as expected. Dangerously drinkable!

Bottle @ Cafe Meijers. Copper coloured with a beige head. Nose is fruity, citric, pine and resin. Flavour is citric, resin, lots of hops and fruitiness. Fairly bitter, some caramel malts. Finish is fairly bitter.

Bottle from Prima Beer. Hazy orange with a big and lasting off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and moderate hoppy - oranges and citrus. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and rather bitter finish. 050115
