amber rood helder met schuimige fijne witte kraag aroma is werkelijk super (10 punten), stevig zoet, hooi, gras, citrus, alcohol en mooie dennen tonen. smaken zijn redelijk/zwaar zoet, matig bitter, zeer sterk bier, redelijk fruitig (mandarijn), ananas, den, harsig, citrus. medium body, glad van textuur, normale co2, afdronk zoetig. stevig alcoholisch en vrij zoetig, wellicht iets té zoet. voor mij net té om een 4+ te scoren

Bottle @ home. Clear amber to copper colour with a small to medium sized off-white head. Smells hops, fruity, pine, spruce, mint, fresh, apricot, nice. Tastes bitter, pine, hops, some alcohol, slightly gluey, grassy, fresh. Mostly bitter and hopa though. Full body, slightly warming to the chest, soft carbo. Heavy one.

13/I/14 - 33cl bottle from Biernavigatie (webshop, NL) @ home - BB: 10/IX/15 (2014-43)

Little hazy deep orange beer, huge aery yellowish head, very stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: very fruity, lots of citrus, passion fruit, pineapple, little piny, red lace candy, strawberry bubble gum. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet start, bit chemical, very bitter, honey, jam, unpleasant bitterness, bit sugary, peach candy. Aftertaste: very bitter, some citrus, sweet malts, fruity, red fruit jam, grapefruit, strawberry jam, bit chemical. I'd classify this more as an American Barley Wine, but ok...

On tap @ In De Wildeman. Amber color, hazy. Rocky, off white head, good lacing. Aroma’s of pine & resin, with retronasal some malty sweetness and acidity. Flavor is moderate bitter and moderate sweet, nicely balanced. Body is rather full. Finishes with a nice long lasting bitter flavor. Excellent!

330ml bottle. Hazy orangey golden colour with huge, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Cautious fruity hop aroma with hints of peach - maybe some flavours are disguised by the huge head. Taste is bitter hoppy, moderately sweet fruity hints of peach, lively carbonation. As is typical for many Dutch IPAs, the carbonation is too lively according to my preferences; on the other hand doesn’t the yeast that is used deliver any appealing flavours to turn it into something like a Belgian IPA. Summa summarum a flawless IIPA with nice peach aroma, but giving away a better score due to the lively carbonation that causes a loss of intensity.

Bottled, batch HOP-187, BB 30 sept 2015, large sample. Cloudy golden to orange color, big rocky slight off-white head. Aroma has candy, fruity hop, strawberry, hint of pepper, slight barnyard and bubblegum (hmm, slight Brett infection?). I was expecting much more hop aroma btw, which is hardly present. Quite bitter taste, bit dry. Obvious Brett infection. It’s like an Orval on steroids now. And as I was doubting between this beer and just another Orval, Im actually quite happy with it at the moment. But I wonder whether the Brett was intended :-)
