Limited release. Swimming in a fresh water pool at the base of a cascading waterfall is what we all imagine we would find in paradise.
On Maui, follow the old Hana Highway and you will find such a place – Wailua Falls. This plunging cascade of clear water is the inspiration for our Limited Release Wailua Wheat. This golden, sun colored ale has a bright, citrusy flavor that comes from the tropical passion fruit we brew into each batch. Sit back, relax and enjoy paradise anytime.

Bottle from Tomlinsons Beer Shop, Inverness [110313]
Light golden, thin white head that dissipates away
Aroma of soft passion fruit, light cereal malt
Taste of light cereal malts, dab of passion fruit, seems to be a lager-type beer with some fruit, just a touch of wheat, simple
Palate - Medium carb, light body, bit thin. Finish as main flavour
Overall - Not terrible but not great - found it rather boring and dull

Draught at Kona Brewing Company - KoKo Marina Pub
Cloudy deep blond color, small creamy head. The aroma is light, a bit lemony. Dry and weak mouthfeel, with very light wheat flavor and very light spices; low bitterness; it’s almost a Lager, with light lemony touch.

Bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of madmitch76. Pours a pale yellow with a slight haze and a small white head. Sweet malty nose with a lightly fruity whiff - I couldn’t really pinpoint it as passion fruit though. Medium body, sweet malt and this slightly perfumy touch. No bitterness. Harmless. 131112

Bottle. So passion fruit, that has to be good, right? Pours a clear gold with little head and aromas of grain dust and sweet fruit. Flavor reveals an appley flavor with some pear and honey sweetness. Passion fruit is a myth as best I can tell. It’s sweet, lightly malty and boring.

Bottle: Poured a pale yellow color ale with a medium size poured a white foamy head with good retention and some light lacing. Aroma consists of light wheat malt with some light fruity notes. Taste is a mix between some light wheat malt with some light passion fruity notes. Body is light with average carbonation. Pretty bland offering with limited fruity notes.
