Draft at Kaapse Post Borefts 2014. Pours hazy golden with a thick off white head. Aroma of yeast, dough, fruits. Flavour is light to moderate sweet and heavy bitter. Light medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

Tap at the Borefts After Festival 2014. Poured a hazy medium amber with a big frothy white head. The aroma is yeast, light hop citrus. The flavour is moderate bitter with a smooth hop bitter, light wood, light herb palate. Medium bodied with lively carbonation.

Bottle @ Cafe Buitenlust, large sample, served in a tulip glass. Hazy golden color, short head. Aroma is a bit salty, bit smoke, slight peat, bit spicy. Bit sweet in taste, bit bitter, salty again. Odd brew. Much better than the Pelgrim version.

On tap @ Arendsnest, taster size glass. Hazy to cloudy dark golden/light amber color. White to off white head. Aroma’s: sweet/soft fruit, bit herbal. Retronasal it’s caramel malts, light fruit, maybe a hint of salt. Moderate bitter flavor, herbal, caramellish. Light bodied. Firm bitter finish. I think Haaibaai was slightly nicer.

33cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Slightly hazy golden amber colour, big off-white head. Aroma of yeast, nuts, amber malts, tiny hint of smoke. Flavour is light sweet, nutty, floral, light malty, amber malts, nice touch of smoke, salt is well-integrated and even refreshing here, firm bitter finish. Light-bodied. Way over-carbonated, but after a couple of good swirls this is a very enjoyable beer imho.

schenkt oranje helder met witte kraag. aroma wat floraals, citrus, stro en wat rokerig. smaken zijn redelijk bitter, iets zoutig, wat rokerig, maar ben er wel over uit: dit is absoluut niet mijn ding (maar was sowieso al geen voorstander van rookmout). --edit typo

Tap @ BBF14, Oirschot. Hazy orange colour with a medium sized off-white head. Smells sweet, hoppy, fruity, slightly apricot, nice. Tastes quite bitter, hops, fresh, slightly malty, slightly cigarette. Thin to medium body, nice carbo.
