Overall a decent beer but there is a chalkiness to the body and an odd flavor maybe from the spelt that just doesn't quite cut it for me personally.

16 ounce can. Pours a very hazy orange hue with a medium white head. A big banana estery nose. Sweet oranges, more banana, yeasty, toast, vanilla. Very light.

Fairly clear, but slightly hazy orange and copper coloured body with a two to three centimetre tall soapy tan head with large bubbles that fades fairly quickly. Aroma of grapefruit, grass, resin, flowers, alcohol, nice rich malt with a good deal of sweetness noticeable. Medium to Full-bodied; Sweet citrus and grapefruit flavours show at first with a lot of alcohol, robust hop bitterness, resin, supportive malt with a touch of chamomile floral notes that end with a slightly astringent and medicinal flavour at the end. Aftertaste is robust, very flavourful and balanced throughout, with a lot of citrus notes with both fruit and bitterness, some good resinous and piney flavours and a touch of nice sweetness on the end along with some alcohol, of course. Overall, a balanced and enjoyable, 'almost' Imperial IPA with some good, smooth hop notes, but more fruit and balance than you'd expect, which makes this go down easily. Great to sample fresh, especially here on the East Coast! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Krisp Market (BestDamnBeerShop) in San Diego, California on 25-February-2020 for US$5,99 sampled at home in Washington on 16-March-2020.

Taster pour on tap at Boneyard Bistro. Appearance is opaque yellow (orange juice) with no sparkle, finger-width foamy white head with excellent retention and nice soapy lacing. Aroma is sweet candy--like a pink or purple sweet tart--cherry and grape. Taste follows aroma along with some offsetting mild bitterness. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth, creamy, frothy texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, a unique aroma/flavor profile but not sure I love it. Not complex. OK.

Poured from a 16 oz can dated May 3, 2019. Aroma is hop forward with mango, tangerine, mandarin, grapefruit and light notes of stone fruit, pine and resin. Light malt notes and a hint of alcohol. Pours a murky, hazy, dusty straw color with a large, thick, pillowy white head that slowly recedes to a small film that lingers. Fairly high lacing and faint legs. Flavor is somewhat sweet with light cracker malt notes. Medium bitterness and light alcohol spice. Moderately strong hop notes of grapefruit, tangerine, and mandarin. Hints of tropical fruit and stone fruit with light pine and resin notes. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice IPA. Great fruity, citrus notes. I'm a big fan of amarillo hops and I'm not sure why they have fallen out of favor and don't seem to show up much in NEIPAs.

Get overly sweet papaya and banana(?) notes upfront, thickness, hints/whiff of boozy, but overall sneaky and tasty.

Super hazy peachy pour with a thin off-white head with decent retention. Notes of peaches, mandarin oranges, caramel, papaya, overripe mango, bananas. Medium body, light carbonation and a bitter-sweet finish.
