500ml bottle. Opalescent, orange, golden colour with average, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Expressionless, pale malty and minimally strawy aroma. Taste is minimally spicy, pale malty, minimally strawy, light peppery spiciness. Slightly oily texture, smooth and soft palate, medium to fine, soft, mildly prickly carbonation. Simple and monotonous, at least not too sweet - so-so.

Bottle. Archer Road Beer Stop, Sheffield. Pin bright gold. Frothy, lasting, white head. Nose is a bit metallic with some damp grain and leafy hop. Taste is grainy sweet. Not much else, really. Decent mouthfeel. A little oily. Dries a little on the finish. Ok at best.

Vielen Dank an Martin für diese Flasche! The beer starts smooth and fresh. A bit grainy with not too much depth. Round and easy to drink with grainy hints in the aftertaste.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein goldgelbes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch malzig würzig, Geschmack angenehm malzig würzig mit ganz minimaler Bitterkeit.

Pours yellow with a thin white head. Smells of caramel and light citrus. Tastes of caramel and earthy with a hint of bitterness.

Warning! Early amateur rating! Very light coloured lager. Slightly flat and watery. Bitterish finish. Mmmm.

Bottle, Ship and Mitre, Liverpool. Just how is this a winter/seasonal beer? Golden, minimal head, little in the aroma besides grain. Sweetish, drab lagery flavour. Tedious beer. Avoid.

bottle, bought in Wolnzach. Clear golden yellow colour, mid-sized white head. Malty nose. Light to medium bodied, slightly malty, slightly hoppy. A very kild beer with a grainy touch. Not really convincing....

Bottle (Dank nach Garching!): Golden to deep golden coloured, bigger - slowly diminishing- - white head; grainy nose with a light acidic touch; flat sweetish-bitter flavour; more light than medium bodied; a tinge of metal in the moderate sweet-bitter flavour. Modest, not exciting Märzen..........
