1 l bottle from the brewery's web shop, best before January 2023. Clear, very dark ruby with a large, foamy, almost stable, off-white head. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity aroma of caramel, raisins, prunes and some molasses. Quite sweet, malty, moderately bitter, slightly fruity taste of caramel, raisins, prunes, nuts and some molasses, followed by a short, moderately bitter finish. Medium to full body, smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Tasty Bock, moreish stuff, very well-balanced and with a pleasant fruity touch.

Tight creamy tan head stayed on a dark mahogany coloured still body. Heavy malt, spices & liquorice. Medium bodied, creamy over the tongue with spritely clean back. Sweet berry, lactose, aniseed, spices, bonfire toffee, coca cola & roasted tastes. Excellent Winter Warmer

Bottle (0.01hl): Clear, deep ruby-amber coloured, medium-sized stable and creamy off-white head, moderate sweet-bitter aroma of toasted malt and mild traces of smoke(!?), secret traces of dried fruits, malty bitterness underneath; moderate dryish bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied, not too soft; dark malt and toasted malt in the dryish bitter-sweet finish. An unexpected gem! Not too complex, but very well drinkable...

On tap at the brauhaus on 13th December 2015. Pour almost black with a hint of brown. Big head that is off white. Aroma of toffee, bread and a little dried fruits on the nose. Taste is a big fruity hit with malt and bread a a little boozy background. Carbonation is good. Nice beer

Tap @ Zwiebel bar at Soester Weihnachtsmarkt, small sample. Clear brown color, medium frothy head. Aroma of toffee and caramel, bit spicy, slight fruity notes as well, grassy hop. Toffee and caramel give sweet notes, bit butterscotch, but it has mostly herbal and grassy bitterness. Like a powerful version of the Dunkel. Good stuff.

1,0L Flasche. Sehr dunkelbraunes Bier mit schöner leicht bräunlichen Schaumkrone. Geruch angenehm röstmalzig, Schokolade. Geschmack malzig süß, Karamell, Honig. Ein sehr süffiges und gutes Bockbier!

1l-bottle. Nicely dark in the glass, beige head. The nose is malty. The beer starts malty, smooth and quite sweet. The mainpart is brown sugar, nicely sweetish malt, but nothing more. The aftertaste is medium, smooth, malty, caramel, brown sugar, highly drinkable.
--> Nice dunkler Bock. But it could be a bit deeper in aroma. --> 12/13/11/12

Gut! 7/11/12/13/10/12
