(bottle, as Apoldaer Tafelbier Hell) Hazy, golden colour with a blond mid-sized foamy head. Yeasty, mildly doughy malty aroma with subtle fruity notes and a whiff of spicy hops. Moderately bitter flavour, slim bodied if not watery, spritzy carbonation. Slim malty, slightly mineralic taste with bitter hops; dry and slim bitter hoppy finish, lacking some malty counterpart. 09.IV.13

bottle with thanks to kappldav123! Well wel, I’ve never heard of any company celebrating the 184th year of existence - but what do I know... Hazy, almost cloudy pale yellow colour, huge creamy white head and quite a nice hop aroma. Light-bodied, malty with a yeasty touch and hints of butter. Aromatic hops in the finish. Quite easy-drinking and moreish - much better than expected. I really liked this!

I think its senseless to make a Festbier for a 184year jubilee. But however. Bottle looks simple and like a cheap beer. Beer in the glass zippy, small head. Starts dry-hoppy, a bit sourish, some soapy notes. Finish unbalanced and a bit metallically. Nothing special.
