"Onkel Jakob Pils", Fläschlein von Edeka, Altomünster, 8.5.2025. - Goldgelb, blank. - In der Nase schlanke, recht blasse zitronige Hopfenherbe. - Antrunk schlank und frisch zitronig hopfenherb. Malz ist kaum zu spüren. Gut rezent. Im Abgang ausreichende aber etwas schematische Hopfenherbe. - Erfrischend aber dünn, dazu nur blaß gehopft: das Pils vom Maierbräu ist bis dato das schwächste Bier aus dieser sympathischen Brauerei.

Pours a golden color with a frothy white head. The taste was bitter but hoppy with a herbal-tasting finish that lingers in your mouth.

Leicht zitroniger Geruch. Trocken herber Antrunk, leicht hopfig, ab dem Mittelteil etwas blechern. Süßlich, monoton. 9/8/7/7/10/7

Bottle (otto holt obst): Clear, golden, stable and creamy medium-sized white head; mild to moderate nose of - slightly tart - herbal hops with a grainy-dusty background; dry bitter flavour, a malty base is barely detectable; light bodied, very soft;dryish lingering herbal-grassy finish. Well made Pils, lacks a bit the malty counterpart...

(bottle, 33cl) Clear, pale golden colour with a blond and firm mid-sized foamy head. Pilsener malt aroma upfront with strawy notes and a floral hops profile. Mildly sweet and slightly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Slightly strawyand dry malty base with flowery and delicately herbal hops; dry and mildly hop bitter finish with a slightly sweet malty counterpart. Clean and balanced brew. 04.VI.16

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein klares goldgelbes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch hopfig, getreidig, grasig. Geschmack hopfig, grasig, lang anhaltende Bitterkeit.

Draught. Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Yellow colour. Moderate malty and light hopy aroma. Light bitter flavor. Average light bitter finish. Oily palate.
