The brown ale softens the lambic, the lambic adds flavor to the brown ale, delish and probably would be great on a summer day. Not too shabby on a winter day

Vintage 2015/2016. Many thanks for this bottle to tderoeck. Piana srednia opadajaca szybko, granatowo-bordowa barwa z licznymi przeswitami, specjalnie nie stoutowe, a bardziej flandersowe, czuje sie kwasna dzika wisnie i zorawinę. dziko choc to tylko dodatek 1/8. Fajnie i smacznie, ale mimo mojego gustu wolalbym by bylo jeszcze bardziej kwasne. a tak to sie przemieszalo ze stoutem. Ale zastosowano ciekawe proporcje i plus za ogolny pomysl

Rocky off white head on a dark brown body. Malt, chocolate & vinegar aroma. Medium bodied, foamy with a sharp back. Malt, chocolate, balsamic, oak & roasted tastes with a tart finish. Interesting - the Lambic is more pronounced but only ⅛ of the blend.

(Bottle, vintage 2014/2015) Dark brown colour, almost black, with lasting frothy beige head. Malty, roasted, slightly sourish nose with coffee, oak wood, caramel, chocolate, dark fruit and sour cherries. Malty, roasted, tart taste with notes of coffee, sour cherries, red berries, oak wood, vinegar, chocolate, caramel, barnyard and a tart and dry finish with low bitterness. More than medium body, dry. Interesting. Really tasty and well balanced with a good acidity. Very nice.

Tilquin Stout Rullquin 7% This stout is a collaboration and blend of Rulles Brune and young lambic from Tilquin. It opened with a pop and had a thick creamy light beige head of fluffy foam that lingered. The aroma was a classic lambic funk with some sweet brown malt notes - heavenly. Quite full bodied with a seltzer like lively carbonation and a sharp finish. The taste is acidic and tart featuring berries and toffee biscuits with some chocolate in the aftertaste. Very much on the lambic/sour spectrum more than a stout/sweet type of beer but it’s damn good. I’m so glad I was finally able to track some of this down in Japan.
