Das Eis Pils Monte Torro (jetzt ohne Bio) der Brauerei Stierberg, aus dem Fläschchen in der Brauereigaststätte. - Goldgelb, klar. - In der Nase untypisch breites helles Malz und eher milde, vorwiegend zitronensüße Hopfung. - Im Antrunk fein hellmalzige Süße, etwas Vanille und nur maßvolle wenngleich frische und aromatische zitrusfruchtige Hopfenherbe, die in der malzigen Umklammerung nicht voll zur Geltung kommt. Milder rezent, nicht so schlank. Im Abgang fein grasige und zitrusfruchtige Hopfenherbe. - Aromatisch gehopft aber ohne knackige Bittere, die sich auch schlecht mit der satten Malzigkeit vertragen würde. Gleichwohl ein recht angenehmes süddeutsches Pils. (7.5.2024.)
Bei Neuverkostung aus dem mitgebrachten Fläschchen, im Direktvergleich mit dem Flötzinger Pils, spürbar anders: gedämpfte grasig-hopfenwürzige Herbe mit leiser Gewürznote und nur gebremste Zitrusfrucht. Die obige Bewertung paßt trotzdem. (31.5.2024.)

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein klares goldenes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch hopfig, getreidig, grasig. Geschmack hopfig, grasig, lang anhaltende Bitterkeit.

Bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Starts quite malty, fine hoppy notes, quite dry. Finish well balanced, a bit grasy, still dry. Interesting dry-hoppy aftertaste. Interesting beer!

(bottle, 33cl) Clear, pale golden colour with a big and loose foamy white head. Intensively fruity aroma of citrus, tangerine and grape fruit on a moderately sweet pale malty background. Slightly sweet and bitter flavour, quite light bodied but not watery with a very calm and smooth carbonation. Pale malt character with fruity and herbal hoppy accents, leading into a dry and moderately bitter hoppy finish. An aromatic and soft Pilsener. 17.II.10

Bottle (donated by joss!) Clear, greenish-golden coloured, mid-sized white creamy head; distinctive fresh citrussy hops in the nose, accompanied by buttery malt; very soft, light bodied, light to moderate bitter-sweet flavour; softly lingering noble hops in the pale-malty and bitter finish. A very good, well hidden, gem.......

bottle, donated by joss - Danke! Clear yellow colour with a large and ceramy white head. Hoppynose. Solid malty background with lots of aromatic hops that add a slighly floral, but mainly aromatically herbal touch. Dry mouthfeel, slightly bitter -sweet in the lingering finish. A delicious example of the style.

Bottle. Golden, lively carbonation, white lacing foam. Metallic grassy hop aroma. Surprising sweet tropical fruity entry, bready center - chewy, grassy hop counterpoint, light rust retronasal, a hint orangepeel in the extreme end.. Soft velvety and sparkly mouthfeel.
