Can, from the Costco advent calendar. Pours faintly cloudy golden yellow with a large foamy off-white head, sharp malt aroma, high carbonation, mildly sweet malty taste, thin body, long malty finish. Smooth and well-rounded.

One of the better kellerbiers, mostly clean, doesn’t have so much of that cloudy flavor. Has a good body and nice malt. 2019 bad santa bier advent

Vom Faß im Schwarzen Bären, Weißenburg i.Bay. Ganz leichte Karamelnoten. Mild rezent, schlank, frisch und süffig. Im Abgang feine grasig-zitronige Herbe. Kaum bitterer, mild hopfenaromatischer Nachtrunk. - Angenehmes, frisch wirkendes, mild aber aromatisch gehopftes Zwickel. Was fehlt, ist etwas Individualität.

500ml bottle. Minimally cloudy, deep golden colour with average, frothy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, white head. Grainy aroma, a bready touch, hints of caramel malt. Taste is minimally sweet malty, slightly grainy, some husk, dry hoppy overtones, a touch of malt-spiciness. Decent.

bottle, gushing all over the place. Hazy golden colour, large fluffy white head. Malty with a grainy touch, hints of yeast, pleasantly hoppy with a resiny-grassy character. Nice.

Bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Starts spicy-malty, not as moldy as other kellerbiers. Some nice fruity hints. All in all mild and drinkable. Nice!

(bottled, as Kellerbär) Hazy, deep golden colour with a big and slightly off-white foamy head. Delicately grainy and yeasty (cara-)malty aroma with notes of herbal and subtle citric hops. Moderately bitter and delicately sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a spritzy, almost a bit sharp carbonation. Malty taste with hints of bread and a tinge of caramel, accompanied by herbal and delicately fruity hops, leading into a dry and moderately bitter finish. Not bad, but could be better balanced. 15.V.13

Bottle: A bit unclear, nearly deep golden, big fluffy white head with a good lace, grainy-fruity nose, some hoppy edges underneath; light to moderate bitter-sweet flavour, nesrly medium bodied; lingering hoppy and sweetish-grainy finish. Nice Kellerbier…

Golden yellow appearance with a white head. Lemon spritz. A bit tart lemon, powerful fruity yeasty, somewhat floral, delicious flavor.
