This Intergalactical Imperial lager was brewed by Ben (Bridge Road Brewers, 50 Ford Street, Beechworth VIC 3747, Australia) & Urbain @ Struise, as a superb collaborative effort between both breweries and Simply Hops (Hop Pocket Lane, Paddock Wood, Tonbridge, Kent, TN12 6DQ, UK). While Ben shared his Australian Lager brewing techniques, Simply Hops procured us with Fresh Galaxy hop flowers.
Only 4 ingredients were used, Vleteren water, German pilsner malt, Australian Galaxy Hops and Weihenstephan yeast. This lager not only bottom fermented, but also matured on its own bed of C02 for six months.

Craft100 fest at Craft Clapham. Keg. Hazy gold beer. small pale cream coloured head. Palate is fairly light and minerally crisp. Bready malts with a nice touch of light malt cream. Good citric peel bitterness underneath. Light finish. Nicely done. The hops are just enough and not too much for a lager and the bready malts are light and tasty. I could drink a ton of this. One for the lager lovers, that’ll be me, Ian, Leighton and Tom then!

Keg at Craft 100. It pours hazy golden with a thick white head. The nose is sweet, doughy, grassy, candied peel and orange. The taste is sweet, doughy, straw, hay, light spice, grass, earth, alcohol and good bitterness with a dry, somewhat spicy finish. Medium body and prickly carbonation. Very nice for the style.

Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours translucent gold with a white head. Light citrus aroma. Near med body. Flavor is bready malt with fruit/herb/grass/citrus hop. Lots of malt supporting the hop. Sort of a "thick" pils. Heavy good stuff. Goes a bit metallic with time. Ending note: It’s really good.
