This Intergalactical Imperial lager was brewed by Ben (Bridge Road Brewers, 50 Ford Street, Beechworth VIC 3747, Australia) & Urbain @ Struise, as a superb collaborative effort between both breweries and Simply Hops (Hop Pocket Lane, Paddock Wood, Tonbridge, Kent, TN12 6DQ, UK). While Ben shared his Australian Lager brewing techniques, Simply Hops procured us with Fresh Galaxy hop flowers.
Only 4 ingredients were used, Vleteren water, German pilsner malt, Australian Galaxy Hops and Weihenstephan yeast. This lager not only bottom fermented, but also matured on its own bed of C02 for six months.

Hazy golden color with white head. Aroma is citrusy, flowery, smells quite Belgian. Soft, fruity, earthy. Surprisingly good, but quite Belgian for a Pils. Big-bubbled and high, but soft carbonation. Very drinkable. Sweet, but not bad. An interesting combination.

Bottle 330ml (Saveur)
Clear golden color, small steady white head, some lace. Honeyish, grassy aroma. Medium-bodied. Lagerish (yeah), grassy hoppyness, sweetish maltyness with some backing alcohol. Well-made European Strong Lager and certainly a lager, not IPL like nowadays similar products of craft brewers.

Sampled @ Camping Ratebeers 2015. Clear yellow golden color, medium sized white to off-white head. Smell and taste malts, lightly hayish, lightly sweet-bitter. Decent body and carbonation. Not bad imo.

Bottle: Nose is yeast, floral hops, pleasent, and not what was expected. Taste is cereal, honey, caramel, floral hops, slight peach, yeast, sugar. Body is very full. It’s nice enough, but hard to get excited about. Struise are amazing, but you can only tickleup a pilsner so much.

33 cl bottle @ hotel room, Brussels. Rated on 26.06.2015. Aroma has butter, grain and hayish malt. Also some grassy hops. Flavour has butter, grain, some fruits and malt. Feels like somewhat overhopped German pils.
