Süßlich-neutraler Antrunk. Dabei scharf alkoholisch. Der Hauptteil ist muffig-chemisch, malzig-süßlich. Im Nachgeschmack muffig, sehr komisch alkoholisch. 3/9/2/3

75cl cork and caged brown bottle, drank during one of my French beer evenings in October 2007. Poured into my Hoegaarden Grand Cru glass and two Palm glasses, all in one pour. Clear amber colour with a thin white head. The aroma was all about caramel, toffee and roasted malts, very impressive. The flavours imparted in the taste mainly revolved around a toffee base, vry moorish. Although everything I have said about this beer is toffeeish, it isn’t a sweet tasting beer, nor is it overly thick in the mouthfeel, just a normal body to it. This is a well made beer, Northern France has some good beers and this is one of the better ones I’ve tried.

0.75l bottle. Clear amber-golden colour, large, rocky off-white head. Fruity nose. Rather loight-bodied, shy malty background, shy fruity flavours, hints of caramel and barnyard. Ok, but very mild indeed.

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of KimJohansen. Clear, deep golden with a dense off-white head. Sweetish aroma with some fruitiness and phenols. Medium body, sweetish malt and fruit and a vague fustiness. No bitterness really. 291208

Bottled. An amber beer with an off-white head. The aroma is sweet malty with an acidic edge and some phenol. The flavor is sweet malty with eathy notes as well as some notes of spices and straw, leading to a dry finish.
