Schwarze Farbe; gemischtporige, stabile Schaumkrone. In der Nase relativ unspektakulär, dunkles Malz, Karamell, leicht hopfig. Im Geschmack dafür umso aromatischer, viel Röstmalz, etwas Kaffee, leicht rauchig, mittlere Hopfenbittere, schlanker bis mittlerer Körper, relativ trocken, röstmalzig-bitter im Nachtrunk.

Bottle (courtesy of Metro-Man!): Mainly clear, deep ruby-amber coloured, quickly collapsing loose off-White head, dark malt and milk-chocolate in the nose, but barelyany bitterness detectable; light to moderate sweetish flavour, pretty light bodied for a beer of 5.3%, at least quite soft; mainly cacao-powder and traces of cheap chocolate in the slightly more bitter finish. Too monotonous...

(bottle, 33cl) Clear, dark and ruby brown colour with a short and tanned foamy head. Leafy and slightly roasted malty aroma with hints of caramel and a whiff of milk. Moderately sweet and delicately bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a tame carbonation. Delicately roasted malty base with caramel, and slightly lactic flavours; sweet and delicately roast- and hop-bitter finish. Drinkable, but too sweet for my liking, not that what I expect from a Schwarzbier. 03.XI.15
