Together with chefs Onno Kokmeijer and Arjan Speelman of the Michelin-starred restaurant Ciel Bleu we created this highly tasty I.P.A. The dry-hop with Waimea and Citra hops gives the beer a floral, bitter character and the addition of kaffir lime provides a tropical touch. Completed by a deep golden color, the Ciel Bleu I.P.A. is an irresistable beer. Ciel Bleu I.P.A. is on the menu of restaurant Ciel Bleu and is limited available in our pub.

Clear orange appearance. Quite thick texture with low carbonation. Very bitter. Citrusy and pithy finish.

Bottle @ joes shared by me. Totaly murky orange brown colour with a huge white head. Smells apricot, peach, sticky sweet, syrup. Tastes quite sweet, fruity, peach, apricot. Could be more bitter. Medium body, aoft carbo.

Bottle 330ml.Clear medium yellow orange colour with a huge, frothy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, orange - citrus, grapefruit, sweet hops, moderate yeasty. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, sweet hops, fruity, riped fruit, yeasty. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20130813]

Batch 2013-15. Hazy dark amber color, huge off-white head. Exotic fruity (waimea?) aroma, not very intensive. Medium-bodied. "Microbrewish" yeasty tropical fruity flavor with some gooseberries. Sweetish note in the finish. Solid and interesting brew from ’t IJ.

33 cl bottle. Pours hazy orange with a small white and rocky head. Grapefruity and citrusy. Smooth malty, overripe fruity. Toasted malty. Bitter and slight herbal. Smooth toastedmalty, bitter and lightherbal into the finish. Dry finish.

Bouteille 33cl, BB 12/2013. Cuivrée-orangée, fine opacité, col épais blanc cassé. Arôme présente un beau bouquet fleuri, houblonné sur un tropical oscillant entre pamplemousse et citronné. Le malt reste en ajout rétro-nasal. Palais est malté moyen pâle avec, et cela m’a surpris, une pointe subtile de fumé. Amertume reste agréable pour une IPA avec un profil fruité agrumes très agréable. Retrouve ici des notes caractéristiques d’agrumes et un fini sec de houblonnage à cru. Légère note de pion en retrait.

Bottle at home in garden, evening, 29th June 2013. Pours murky deep orange, brown. Aroma is yeast is sour notes, yeast, and fruity. Taste is aromatic, the kaffir lime leaves really come through, together with hops and sourness, not sure if sourness is the kaffir lime or not. Unique and very enjoyable IPA.

Aroma has spices, some fruity hops, orange and floral notes. Flavour has hops, floral notes, some orange, grapefruit, herbs and peppery spices. Palate is too high on CO2. ’t IJ house flavour is not present.
