Together with chefs Onno Kokmeijer and Arjan Speelman of the Michelin-starred restaurant Ciel Bleu we created this highly tasty I.P.A. The dry-hop with Waimea and Citra hops gives the beer a floral, bitter character and the addition of kaffir lime provides a tropical touch. Completed by a deep golden color, the Ciel Bleu I.P.A. is an irresistable beer. Ciel Bleu I.P.A. is on the menu of restaurant Ciel Bleu and is limited available in our pub.

Bottled. This one goes out to the memory of my dear friend Miia (angsta here on RB) who passed away one week ago and loved IPA’s. Hazy orangeish brown colour, mediumsized beige foamy head. Aroma is grassy, fruity and floral notes with some slight yeast and grainy notes. Flavour is fruity, herbal, grassy, tropical fruits and also quite nicely bitter with some resiny notes to it. Beautifully balanced and pleasant bitterness. A beautifully balanced beer.

Bottle. Pours hazy dark golden with some sediments, and a very big head. Aroma is bitter hops with pine and forestry notes of ferns and flowers. Creamy body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is quite bitter, all though with sweet notes of apricot, honey and orange before the long citrusy bitterness kicks in through the finish.

Bottled., batch 2013-15. Hazy to cloudy amber color, huge thick off-white head. Soft hoppy aroma, tropical fruit, bit spicy and yeasty. I’m smelling something weird fruity, which probably is the lime, not as citrussy, but more slight soapy and a hint of bubblegum. Quite bitter in taste, seriously bitter actually in contrast to a lot of bad other Dutch "IPAs". Good fruity, quite dry, but with enough caramel malt in the back to carry the bitterness. Quite high on carbonation.

33 cl bottle @ home. Copper color, ever so slightly hazy. Big, very dense off white head with long retention and good lacing. Aroma’s of piney/resinous hops, citrus, and typical IJ yeast. Retronasal the hop aroma’s are harsher, bitter. Flavor is rather bitter, earthy, with a light acidity. Body is medium. Quite high carbonation. Long bitter finish

Clear brown colour, white head. Aroma of tropical fruits, candy (fruitella), light citrus, lime, fruit drink. Light sweet flavour, bitter, notes of yoghurt. Finish hops, tropical fruits, bergamot and yoghurt drink.

33cl Bottle from De Bierkoning, at WWT II. Murky orange amber colour, white head. Aroma of sweet lime, fruity hops, citrus, yeast. Flavour is medium sweet, tropical fruits, kaffir lime, fruity hops, malts, light caramel, firm fruity hoppy bitter finish. Nice. Light to medium-bodied.

Bottle @ WWT II. Hazy orange color, small off - white head. Smell malts, tropical fruits. Tastemalts, ttropical fruits, hops, bitter. Nice beer, decent but simple IPA. Medium body and carbonation.
