Bottle at the Lions club Entenrennen. Spicy grain nose. Medium body, dry chewiness, mellow grassy, light honey retronasal.

Bottle picked up from REWE, Altomünster, consumed at home Sunday 19th March 2023 listening to Kangaroo Moon - Between Two Worlds (they're an old festival band that I recall from the late eighties/early nineties), this album is from 2009, it seems that their best years are behind them :-( Loz is baking bread and I am cooking Paella later. Pours light amber with a large frothy white head of foam, good clarity, nice maltiness, a light chewy caramel and toffee edge, but with a little bitterness, fine but not setting my world alight.

Gourmet-Flasche (otto: mops mops):Clear, deep golden, barely amber coloured, mid-sized lacy and creamy white head; mild to moderate grainy-strawy nose with a slight acidity (not a result of an infection...!); mild sweetish-bitter flavour, barely medium bodied, but quite soft nevertheless; sweetish-grainy finish, a certain bitterness is hardly detectable. All in all a disappointing Gebräu...

(bottle, 33cl) Clear, amber colour with a firm mid-sized off-white foamy head. Bready and slightly nutty malty aroma with notes of caramel and a delicately spicy hoppy background. Moderately sweet flavour, light bodied with a soft carbonation. Mildly bready cara-malty taste with a whiff of grains and shades of hops; slim and moderately sweet malty finish with restrained hoppy notes. 05.VI.16

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein bernsteinfarbenes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch malzig fruchtig, Karamell. Geschmack leicht röstmalzig, Karamell, fruchtig.
