Bottle mail-order from www.biershop.bierpost.com. Dark brown coloured beer with a large (over-flowing) beige head. Very lively in bottle. Chocolate malt and vanilla aroma. Semi-sweet, light bitterness, medium body, slightly oily texture. Initially lively carbonation soon became soft. Much enjoyed.

(bottle, 33cl) Black colour with a beige and big foamy head. Moderately roasted malty aroma with leathery, slightly iodinic/salty notes, accompanied by caramel, dark chocolate, vanilla and traces of cocos. Roasty bitter and moderately sweet flavour, medium to light bodied with a modest carbonation. Dark and roasty malt character with notes of dark chocolate, mocha, vanilla and a subtle fruity touch; dry-ish roasty bitter finish with a lasting aftertaste of dark chocolate and mocha. Clear dark brown beer, irregular beige head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: dirty start, some cooked vegetables, sweet, caramel, dusty, sugary, molasses. MF: lots of carbon, medium body. Taste: sourish start, little bitter, some mocha, hint of vanilla. Aftertaste: sweet, caramel, bit sourish, soft bitterness, mocha, coffee, some vanilla. Despite the fact that it is actually a porter with vanilla flavours, it's not exactly a great porter, with or without vanilla flavours. I guess some brewing and/or style errors have been made in the production of this beer.

330ml Flasche. Ins Glas ergießt sich ein dunkles rötlichbraunes Bier mit schöner beigen Schaumkrone. Geruch nach Vanille, Röstmalz, etwas Schokolade. Geschmack sehr angenehm röstmalzig, Kaffee, Schokolade, Vanille, leicht fruchtig.

Bottle. Pours a black color with a small off-white head. Has a roasted malty sweetish vanilla aroma. Roasted malty sweetish vanilla flavor with hints of chocolate. Has a roasted malty vanilla finish.

330ml bottle. Hazy, darkest brown colour with average to huge, thick, creamy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, beige head. Slightly cautious, chocolately dark malty aroma, a touch of cappuccino, white coffee, a touch of vanilla. Taste is initially minimally sweet dark malty with a fruity touch of dark berries, later the fruity touch is replaced with hints of vanilla and white coffee; slightly light bodied. Nice.

Vom Faß beim Markt "Wurst & Bier" in der Markthalle Neun, Berlin-Kreuzberg, 9.2.2014. - Schwarz, reichlich beigefarbener Schaum. Erfrischend säuerlich, mild, ganz leichte Vanillenote. Natürlich auch Röstmalz, insgesamt aber recht mild und wenig portertypisch. Etwas enttäuschend.

Draught. Black with a full tan head. Aroma is toasted malt. Flavour is good Schwarz, toasted malt, creamy vanilla, dry fruity burnt finish.
