The overflow of boring pilsners helped in creating the Kompaan 070 Kameraad. A cold dry hopped pilsner with body. This pils is three times as bitter and hoppy as a standard pils, but still fresh and drinkable -- a real ‘craft’ pilsner. This beer is simple with some edge--a true “Kameraad” (pal)! Refreshing and citrusy, with pleasant and bitter endnotes.

Bottle from Mitra Bunnik, BB 12.06.15, large sample. Clear pale yellow color, short rocky head which quickly diminishes. Aroma is flowery, slight grassy, bit cardboard, some grainy malt. Soft bitter in taste, crisp, bit malty sweetness. Not the best pilsener to be honest.

Draft. Golden pour, white head. Aroma of grain and some citrus hop. Fresh taste of grainy pale malt, citrus and a little bitter finish. Quite nice for a pilsner.

Bottle. Clear golden with fast disappearing white head. Sweet malts, light smoked pine wood(?), paper, grapefruit and biscuits. Fresh and crisp, light sweet and light bitter finish. Nice carbonation which gives it a fuller feel. Nice Pilsner.

Bottle shared at chriso’s during Garvie’s visit - London. Pours pale yellow with a bubbly white head. Grainy. Sugary, with slight bitter grass, pale bread. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Husky grains on the finish. Too bitter overall. Meh. Plenty of cereal, though.
