Ins Glas ergießt sich ein orangegelbes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr fruchtig süß, hopfig, malzig. Geschmack fruchtig hopfig, bitter, malzig.

Cask at JDW in Finchley Road, London on 1 July 2013. Poured a clear orange with a nice white head. Good hop aroma with hints of caramel malts. Beer was in excellent condition. Strong initial grassy bitterness with hints of citrus, balanced by some brown sugar and cereal flavours. Palate was a little thin, but a pretty good beer to find in JDW.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a bright golden color with a large foamy yellow-white head that faded and left minimal lacing. The aroma was bitter and tart with notes of pine, resin, lemon, caramel and then more pine. The flavor was bitter, dry and somewhat tart with pine, lemon and an astringent presence. The finish was medium length dry pine. Thin and watery body. Unimpressive.

29th October 2008. Clear amber beer. Flat! Sweet apples with a hint of toffee. Takes some getting used to! FW are better than this!

Cask @ Pommeller’s Rest, JDW. Bermondsey SE1. Pours a slightly hazy dark golden color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty aroma with some hoppy hints. Fruity malty citrus hoppy flavor. Has a sweetish fruity malty hoppy finish with some hints of citrus in the aftertaste.

Hazy light amber color. Nice hop aroma, midway between Europe and America. It has some caramel flavor, quite sweet, with a nice sweet fruitness from the hop, and not the typical aggressivity or hop resins; red apples come to mind. Very pleasant.

Full pint of this Wetherspoon festival ale at The Playfair, Lloyds no.1 Bar, in Edinburgh. Hazy amber with a reddish tint. Malt-fruity accented smell. Moderate degrees of late oranges in the mouth continuing into a rounded aftertaste of hop bitterness. Tame impression. Rather disappointing, I would say [14.11.2008].

From cask at Crystal Palace. Pours clear and golden orange with a small off-white head. Light fruity hops aroma. Slight metallic flavoured yet also with a light sweetness to a solid fruity hoppy base flavour. Subdued malt base. Ends bitter, dry and yet als fruity hoppy.

Cask at Crosse Keys JDW. Gold, copper colour, hoppy, but English hoppy aroma, not as big as I expected. Even slightly watery in mouth, bit of ginger hop spice on finish, bit dull really. Not the American Pale Ale, I was really anticipating and looking forward to.
