Sampled at CBC 2013. Opaque, pitch black color with a medium sizded off-white head on top. Smell and taste malts, some roasted malts, lightly coffee, liquorice, caramel and nicely bitter. Don’t get the blueberry though. Medium to full body, medium carbonation.

Keg at King William IV, thanks to James. It pours darkest brown with a small beige head. The nose is ripe blueberry, treacle, strong liquorice, cocoa and roasted malt. The taste is roasted malt, earth, liquorice, toast, dark fruit, moderate bitterness and blueberry with a dry, toasty finish. Medium-full body and fine carbonation. Bold, flavoursome and good balance. Nice.

Sample @ CBC. Huge head with excellent duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, licorice, chocolate, coffee, caramel, wood, vanilla and hops.

Fat på CBC 2013. Stilmässigt närmare svart DIPA än IS. Rostade aromer av choklad, lakrits, karamel, vanilj men även mycket fruktig humle med mörka bär. Smaken lätt bränd och ganska syrlig med smaka av saltlakrits, blåbär, björnbär, fikon, russin, vanilj och toffee. Rik och komplex men lätt och lättdrucken. Riktigt god.

On tap at CBC, pours black with a medium tan head. Aroma is a huge mess, with licorice, booze and subdued blueberries -- whoa. Flavour is fucked, with notes of harsh licorice, subdued blueberries, and paint thinner. Pretty disgusting concoction here. Why would you out these ingredients together?

Fat på CBC 2013. Smak och doft av malt, karamell, mycket humle, laktris och blåbär. Fruktig med en kärv beska med smak av grape och citrus. En aning tunn kropp och påminner mer om en svart IPA.

Tap at CBC 2013. Pours black with a ring tan head. Aroma of roast, grassy hops, chocolate, coffee, molasses, blueberry, other fruits and licorice. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter. Full bodied with soft carbonation.
