Draught @ CBC 2013 [ Blue Session ]. - Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2013, Sparta Hallen, Gunnar Nu Hansens Plads 11, 2100 Copenhagen, DenmarkDark black brown colour with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, caramel, chocolate, sweet malt, berry notes - blueberry. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, wood, dark malt, alcohol notes, licorice notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20130504]

Tap Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2013 - Session 3. Pours oily black with a tight, beige cream head. Dark malt nose, some burnt pine, burnt tofee. Big sweet flavor, lightly dry, with hints of dried dark fruits, burnt malts, charred wood. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Light dry finish, more burnt pine, toasted dark sugars, some dry cocoa, faint earthy bitterness. Good and novel, though the overall character seems a little thin for a Brodies impy stout.

Draft @ CBC 2013. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty spicy blueberry and chocolate aroma. Roasted malty blueberry and licorice flavor. Has a roasted malty blueberry and licorice finish with hints of chocolate.

CBC. Opaque black beer, big pale tan head. Light airy palate. Soft dark malt, trace of blueberry. Dominant flavour here is salty licorice. Nice savoury beer but a bit more blueberry would not have gone amiss.

From tap. Roasted malty and light hoppy. Light liqourice. Solid hoppy. Smooth fruity and crisp bitter.

CBC. Black with a light brown head. Aroma is roasted malt, heavy liquorice and rather hoppy - pine. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and rather bitter finish. 040513

Draft. A black beer with a lazing dark brown head. The aroma has notes of citrus fruits, hops, and roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of liquorice, alcohol, roasted malt, and chocolate, leading to a dry roasted finish.

Tap @ CBC. Almost black with small beige head. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee and liquorice. Flavour is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, liquorice, medium sweet, hop, little bitter and a little vanilla.

Tap at the Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2013. Poured a dark mahogany with a round, glass-hugging head. The aroma is all malt and fruit. The flavour is medium bitter, with roasted malt, dark chocolate and bags of liqourice. The blueberries are there in the aroma and the flavour, but they could be easily confused for something else.

Sample at CBC 2013, Saturday. Black with a small tan head. Roasted malt, dark fruit, licorice, blueberries, some vanilla and toffee. An interesting and tasty beer.
