La Castel Beer est une bière blonde africaine produite dans plus d’une vingtaine de pays d’Afrique de l’Ouest et du Centre. Castel Beer fut pour la première fois fabriquée au Gabon dans les années 1950. Elle est consommée dans la plupart des pays d'Afrique francophone et chiffre 5,2° d'alcool. Elle tire son nom du groupe CASTEL, brasseur dans 23 pays africains.

27/4/2024. Can shared at fonefan Ulfborg tasting. Courtesy of Jarle, cheers! Pours clear pale gold with a small bubbly white head. Aroma is grainy, sweet malts, corn, citrus. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness and body. Average carbonation. It's okay.

ABV: 5.2%. Clear medium yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, sweet malt, light cardboard. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, pale malt, sweet malt. Body is medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. [20240427]

clear golden colour, half inch of creamy white head; aroma of grainy, hay, some grassy, herbal and fruity (apple-like) notes; taste of herbal hoppy bitterness, malty-bready and fruity sweetness, as well as minimal spicy aftertaste; not bad at all

27/II/20 - 33cl can as a gift, shared @ a pretty big tasting for a workday, BB: 29/V/20 (2020-171) Thanks to whomever got me this can!

Clear pale orange beer, big fizzy aery irregular white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: very malty, ras grains, spelt or sorghum or something else weird, bad corn. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: sweet and malty start, lots of grains, hay, sugary touch. Aftertaste: sugary, sweet, corn, a hint of vanilla.
